Sea Dragon Thank You Card
Sea Dragon is a brush painting of a water dragon in traditional Chinese "Gongbi" style with watercolor on rice paper.
In China the calligraphy always belongs to the painting. It’s like the signature from the artist. The bigger characters are always the title of the painting. The smaller calligraphy shows the name of the artist and sometimes where and when the painting was created.
On the picture is written „shui long - bai jie hua yu zhong guo nan jing” what means “Sea Dragon - painted by Bai Jie in Nanjing”
Bai Jie is my Chinese name.

The dragon is deeply rooted in Chinese culture as the supreme auspicious being. And the Chinese in the world often regard themselves as "the descendants of the dragon".
In the ancient China, dragon was the symbol of imperial power and represent the emperor.
Nowadays, it symbolises power, nobility, honour, luck, success and fortune.
It is also the fifth of the 12 Chinese zodiac animals. The year of the Water dragon was 2012.

This thank you card met all my expectations. I loved the fact we could add two photos but still have plenty of room to write a personalised message, and the the thank you heart on the front is a lovely touch. Cards were exactly as we imagined. I had a little trouble with developing the template and the images on screen not reflecting the exact position of the icons on the cards but there were no issues the 2nd time I ordered. First time I ordered some icons were cut off slightly on the right side. I think this was my fault in the design process but I though the developer might have adjusted it automatically
