The baroque-style "Palace of the Palatine Schools" (Empirical Philosophy Schools) is located in Piazza Mercanti (Merchant Square) near the Duomo in the city of Milan, Italy. The Palatine schools were born in Milan between 1601 and 1605 from a renewal of the ancient school of Broletto. This is one of the six gates (one for each of the then neighbourhoods of the city). A portion of the Gothic House of the Panigarola Family (Casa dei Panigarola) can be seen in the background. Photography by Minerva Bloom.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning!
