Scottish Montgomery Clan's Eglinton Castle Coffee Mug

Savour your Montgomery Clan heritage! This wonderful painting from the 1800s depicts the Montgomery Clan’s Eglinton Castle, its seat for hundreds of years, and is available on several items of merchandise for your enjoyment. Eglinton is the ancient home of the clan chief, the Earl of Eglinton. The current structure is a Gothic castellated style, built between 1797 and 1802. The original castle was burnt by the Earl of Glencairn in 1528. The Montgomerys' first holdings were the Barony of Eaglesham and its Castle of Polnoon. It is located near Kilwinning, North Ayrshire, Scotland, and is open to the public as part of Eglinton Country Park. The quality of these larger mugs is very good. I have been putting mine through the dishwasher all the time and it shows no signs of fading or dulling. Ergonomically these are lovely to hold and have fast become my favourite mug for a big cup of tea or coffee. Totally recommend getting the tea infuser with the mug especially if you like using loose leaf tea, which always tastes better from my experience and is better for the environment. Printing was good, bright and most importantly accurately matches the colouring shown on the website.
