Landscape Scottish MacRae Clan Eilean Donan Castle Jigsaw Puzzle

A golden, blue-purple-periwinkle sunset swirls around the picturesque Eilean Donan Castle, in the Western Highlands of Scotland. The amazing light is reflected in the sea lochs that surround Eilean Donan. Two allied Scottish clans, the MacRae and MacKenzie families, lived and defended this location in Western Scotland from the 1200s on. Originally, it was owned by the MacKenzie clan chiefs, who are said to have settled there by 1297. It is now owned by a MacRae. Eilean Donan is part of the Kintail National Scenic Area, one of 40 in Scotland. Eilean Donan was completely rebuilt between 1919 and 1932 and is one of the most photographed locations in the country.
