Scottish Independence Arbroath Declaration T Towel
This kitchen towel for Scottish independence supporters features a photograph of a fragment of the Declaration of Arbroath written in Latin and signed on April 6th, 1320, at Arbroath Abbey, six years after Robert the Bruce defeated the English at Bannockburn in 1314. At the base of the manuscript are wax seals of the signatories. The background is a classic white stripe on red. The most quoted excerpt is, of course: 'For as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be brought under English rule. It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.' You can change the red background colour to suit with the customise button.
