"Science is Not a Liberal Conspiracy" is a declaration we hear more and more these days, what with the prevalence of something now know as "alternative facts". Pretty incredible, actually. You don't have to be a Democrat or a Republican (or any of the prominent political parties outside the USA,) to recognise the importance of science and scientific enquiry. Doubting climate change makes less sense now than it ever did before. Climate change is not a hoax; science backs up the assertion that it's real and we can make concrete efforts to slow down its effects. This is not the time to turn a blind eye; recently increasing catastrophic events caused by natural events are increasing.
