This design features an illustration by the artist Arthur Rackham (1867–1939), who was one of the leading figures of the Golden Age of British book illustration. It shows Santa Claus, who is a jolly old man that is commonly associated with gift-giving at Christmas. Santa is wearing a traditional red cloak and a long hat; he has a gray bushy beard. He is walking through a winter woodland in the snow, and in his hands he is carrying a heavy sack full of presents for good boys and girls around the world. Santa is surrounded by elves who are helping him do his important work at Christmas. This illustration of Santa Claus was first produced in 1907.
