SANCTUARY Art Poster

A large male Grey Wolf and his Alpha female mate rest momentarily in a safe, mossy forest glade. Soft late afternoon sunlight filters through, casting shadows on the two friends. A wolf's life is more often than not, one of demanding physical action, so rest is a precious commodity when one can take it. Here, for a time, both are safe from hunting by their only true predator, Man and from the elements. This artwork was created using recent reference photos from our Rocky Mountain photography adventure, plus a little imagination. The painting was then scanned at high resolution, then completed using post processing software to add some more nature elements and the final touches. Government policy in both Canada and the US needs to change urgently, so these inoffensive wilderness animals will no longer be slaughtered at the whim of politicians who don't understand the Wolf's role in our fragile environment. This design will generate 25% of all proceeds to benefit the great folks and wolves at Northern Lights Wildlife Wolf Centre in Golden, B.C., Canada. Thanks for helping them!
