Emil Cardinaux, a Bernese native, is considered one of the most talented European poster designers of the last century. In keeping with the summery Engadin mountains and the elegantly dressed golf guests, Cardinaux chose a subtle colour palette and created a masterpiece in Swiss poster history with his second poster design, for the Palace Hotel St. Moritz in 1921.
