Saint Dymphna Poster
Saint Dymphna, believed to have lived in the 7th century, is venerated as the patroness of mental illness and victims of abuse. Legend holds that she was an Irish princess who fled to Belgium to escape her father's incestuous advances. Refusing his advances, she embraced a life of chastity and piety. Unfortunately, her father, overcome by madness, pursued and eventually killed her. Dymphna's story inspired devotion, with pilgrims visiting her shrine in Geel, Belgium, seeking healing and protection. She remains a symbol of courage and faith in the face of adversity.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning!
