Saint Clare of Assisi Poster
The image of Saint Clare of Assisi originated on an old European holy card. The colours are still fresh and striking and the whole card glitters with gold stamping.
According to tradition Saint Clare warded off an army of soldiers who were attacking Assisi. She approached them with the Blessed Sacrament in her hands. The soldiers were overcome with sudden fear and fled without harming anyone in Assisi. Saint Clare is shown with a monstrance commemorating this event.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
