The sweet artist who did this work spent the last fifteen years of her life perfecting its beauty and it shows in the power of its communion with the inner self with the touch of every thread, one stitch at a time, before her physical death and transition from this life. Her name was Terri Myers. She embodied sweetness and kindness and such a selfless sentiment to the very end. She was diagnosed with cancer many years ago (late 1990s), and that was when she first heard about Sai Baba, and it touched her so much that she wanted to create this cross-stitch image of Sai Baba as a gift for those who were her friends, who tried to help her with her moments of great need, and in that extension of her selflessness, she approached the theatre with the extended reach of fingers inspired to the divine touch. For fifteen years, she devoted herself to this. In fact, every spare minute was devoted to it. She passed away on July 26, 2014, but felt she just had to finish this before she passed and worked and reworked every stitch to get it perfect as if inspired by the hand of God. How precious is this? It is in the minds of all who see this, remarkably touching, and it will outlive all of us as one of the great and magnificent treasures of the world.
