Sage Green English Chintz Wrapping Paper, Cabbage Paper

Chintz began as glazed cotton imported from India — the word comes from the Hindi chint, meaning spotted or sprayed. English printers took it into the layered rose-and-leaf repeats you see here: cabbage roses, hollyhock spires and blue-grey buds banked against warm cream. Set at a twelve inch repeat so a full bloom lands on a standard box rather than a crop of leaf. Sage reads as a year-round green, not a December one — this wraps a birthday in June as easily as a gift in winter.

This wrapping is very high quality, the paper is nice and thick and the colour is gorgeous. I always use blue at Christmas and was having trouble finding just the right colour and quality - this roll was just perfect. The quality, design and colour are exactly as expected.
