A pillow with magic rune staves from an Icelandic Book of Magic, "The Galdraboék" (16th century). According to this book, the stave has to "make someone go to sleep." Instruction (from the same book): "If you want to lull a person to sleep, then carve these staves on alder wood and put it under his head and he will certainly sleep until you take it away." We hope that modern magical printing technologies cope to your aim, no worse than old good alder wood.
