Birds eye view of Royersford and Spring City. This colourized 1946 map shows the Schuylkill river running between the two cities. The Schuylkill canal can be seen on the Chester county side running parallel to the river. Today, the canal has been filled in. The warehouses along the Royersford side of the river in Montgomery county have been torn down and replaced with apartments.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs. it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
