Royal Lion C64 Style Hand-Drawn Pixel Art Notebook

Inspired by the pixel art of the 70's and 80's, I have started drawing pixel art by hand with a 0.1mm technical pen on home made graph paper. An image like this takes a whole week to complete due to all the detailed work, but the result is a lot more organic, impactful and interesting than an image like this just created as a digital artwork. I quite like the aesthetic of the finished artwork: At a distance, when you can't make out the individual pixels, you can see the three-dimensionality and even the subtler textures. Getting closer you see the actual pixels it is made of, and closer yet, you can see each tiny stroke of the pen, as well as how no pixel is exactly the same size and shape, and the interesting organic texture of the black fields that have been drawn one pixel line at a time.
