About This Design

Rovana - Rhodium Trading Cards

Rovana - Rhodium Trading Cards

The wizard, Rovana represents the element, Rhodium in Magical Elements of the Periodic Table. Rovana can make, change, and create electricity in many ways. She knows exactly how electricity moves and can shape it easily. She can zap things, control lightning, and even use the energy inside living things. She's also really good at using electricity to do stuff with technology. Rhodium is named for the rose colour of one of its chlorine compounds. Rhodon is the Greek word for rose. You can create rhodium colour variations that range from light grey to black by binding specific inks to the rhodium. Rhodium plating makes jewellery safe for sensitive skin by blocking nickel and silver from touching your skin. Almost 80% of rhodium is used to make catalytic converters which help convert toxic gases, such as nitrogen oxides , carbon monoxide, and hydrocarbons, into less harmful substances, greatly reducing air pollution from vehicles. In 1979, the Guinness Book of World Records gave Paul McCartney, of the Beatles, a Rhodium-plated record for being the all-time best-selling songwriter and recording artist. Why Rhodium? Because that reward was made with metal more expensive and rarer than platinum.
