Route 66 Vintage American Road Trip" Bumper Sticker

Route 66 bumper sticker. Have fun and own a piece of history at the same time! Design is made from Rebecca Reeder's photograph of a genuine, vintage highway marker on Route 66. Approximately 2,400 miles long, this once was THE major automobile artery of America. It extended from the Los Angeles area through Winslow, Arizona; Santa Fe and Albuquerque, New Mexico; Amarillo, Texas; and on to Chicago, Illinois. Some of these cities enjoyed a resurgence in popularity when they were mentioned in songs: "Take It Easy" a 1970's hit by the rock and roll band The Eagles had the lyrics of "Standing on a Corner in Winslow, Arizona..." while country music star George Strait sang about working the rodeo circuit in "Amarillo by Morning." The slogan on the sticker is a slightly modified version of the famous slogan "Get your kicks on Route 66." Since there isn't too much happening on parts of Route 66 any more, this design says "on and OFF" Route 66. If you do not like red,you can customise this bumper sticker with a colour you prefer. I chose red to symbolise your red tail lights as you zoom off to another fun adventure. Let the world know that you are having fun.
