    of all of the photos taken during my recent road trip, this was the one i'd put the most thought and planning into. while i was initially disheartened when i got to the route 66 monument in petrified forest national park and saw the overcast skies, i am so glad i stuck around for this phase of sunset, when the sun peeked out from beneath the clouds and lit up this rusted, weathered, antique car.
