Rousseau - Mandril in the Jungle (Adaptation) This is an adaptation of Henri Rousseau's 1909 painting "Mandrill in the Jungle." The original artwork is a small oil on canvas,19 x 24 cm (about 7.5"x9.5"), and it is in a private collection. Henri Rousseau (1844-1910) was an important French Post-Impressionist painter in the Naive or Primitive manner. He was self-taught and often painted from his imagination. His paintings of exotic jungle scenes are some of his most famous paintings. Interestingly enough, he never left France. He said that all that he learned came from nature.

The quality of these larger mugs is very good. I have been putting mine through the dishwasher all the time and it shows no signs of fading or dulling. Ergonomically these are lovely to hold and have fast become my favourite mug for a big cup of tea or coffee. Totally recommend getting the tea infuser with the mug especially if you like using loose leaf tea, which always tastes better from my experience and is better for the environment. Printing was good, bright and most importantly accurately matches the colouring shown on the website.
