"Wherefore art though Romeo?" asks Juliet in her famous soliloquy. Her Romeo would "retain that dear perfection" even if his name were different, solving the dilemma posed by a love that straddles both sides of a long-standing feud. This delightful depiction of Juliet at her window was rendered in 1912 by William Hatherell for an illustrated version of <em>Romeo and Juliet</em> published by Hodder & Stoughton. Makes a lovely gift for English teachers, English majors, actors, Shakespeare lovers, or anyone who appreciates soliloquies made from mediaeval balconies.
