National flag of Romania The Romanian national flag is a tricolour flag (known as Tricolorul) with vertical stripes in blue, yellow and red. It was adopted in 1989, and has a 2:3 ratio. Note that any distortion in the preview image is caused by compression artefacts, and won't be printed.
