Robert Burns Gift Mug

This classic mug design features our interpretation of Alexander Nasmyth's famous cameo portrait of Scotland's national bard, Robert Burns. The portait is flanked on either side by a painting of an idyllic rural scene featuring the poet beside the Auld Brig o' Doon at Alloway in Ayrshire, near to where he grew up, again by Nasmyth. Burns is of course famous for "Auld Lang Syne," the song sung the world over every New Year's Eve. The mug would make the perfect gift for fans of the bard and his poetry, Scots ex-pats, and friends and family with Scottish roots.

The quality of these larger mugs is very good. I have been putting mine through the dishwasher all the time and it shows no signs of fading or dulling. Ergonomically these are lovely to hold and have fast become my favourite mug for a big cup of tea or coffee. Totally recommend getting the tea infuser with the mug especially if you like using loose leaf tea, which always tastes better from my experience and is better for the environment. Printing was good, bright and most importantly accurately matches the colouring shown on the website.
