As I was staring at the ceiling this morning listening to the alarm clock die down to a sad little slow chirp, I was thinking of all that has happened the past two years (not good things) and continues ... feeling overwhelmed ... (and this is a rough month - the month of my Dad's death and my birthday the week after which of course I did not celebrate as I was extremely close to my Father ... and my Mother who validated each day of my life - both gone now the past 2 years ... one the past year ... ) .... and how, even though life will never be the same again or as good, and I have a rough year ahead, yadayada .... staring at the ceiling not moving a muscle ... yet, I thought, "I will rise again somehow". Then, I did grin as I thought, "Well, before I can rise again, I guess I need to stop staring at the ceiling and force myself to get out of bed." ... : ) Enjoy. I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
