Respect the Dignity of all Human Beings Poster

This is the last of five questions in the Episcopal (and many others') Baptismal Promises dealing with living the Christian life. Now, more than most times, our daily lives and circumstances put this question to us, and there is no way to avoid answering it. The current Administration in the U.S, with its "zero tolerance" position on unauthorised border crossings that has had the result of tearing families apart, and its rhetoric of "infestation" to refer to undocumented immigrants has answered this question very clearly. How we respond to these events, and a myriad of events all the time will tell how we respond. One doesn't have to be a Christian to answer "yes," but if one is a Christian then a "yes" answer would seem to be required.
