De Morgan (1839-1917) was an important Arts & Crafts movement artist and was the head of tile production at William Morris's studio. His work was influenced by Persian and Islamic art and featured stylized flora and fauna from both life and fantasy. This is a brilliantly colored tile with a jungle cat and snake. The tile is very pretty. Be aware that the tiles are thin and I often find a chipped tile or two in any order. It is easy to order replacement tiles- but with time of processing and shipping this can delay a project, so plan ahead. Very vibrant colors, nice gloss finish.
