Starship Troopers was photographed in Wyoming, at Hell's Half Acre. There used to be a small hotel there, and the cafe contained souvenirs in many forms. before the film even showed up, a button similar to this was on display — and subsequently bought out by the crew.
The hotel is now gone.
This button is an homage to that button, and that era. Font and everything!
