Redwood Morning Postcard

Redwood Morning Postcard

The Ancient Redwood's of Northern California. What an amazing place this was to be early in the morning - Taken right off of Highway 101, Del Norte Redwoods. Driving early in the morning on our road trip/vacation there, I noticed the sun peaking through those beautiful trees and had to pull over to take a shot. I'm glad I did. :) The ancient Redwoods were here when dinosaurs roamed the earth sixty-five million years ago. The Coastal Redwoods, the mighty Sequoia's, are the tallest living things in our world, some growing to 350 feet and beyond. The tallest living tree known at present is situated on Redwood Creek in the Redwood National Park. It measures in at 367.8 feet, which is higher than a 35-story building. It's just too bad that these amazing trees are being cut down like crazy for profit. To lumber companies, the Redwoods in North America offer immense logs of clear, straight, beautiful, long-lasting timber for an ever-increasing market. In just a few short decades groves of trees that took centuries to grow were gone. By the turn of the century the number of old growth trees had been severely decimated. • Camera: Nikon D70 • Lens: AF-S NIKKOR 18-70mm Thank you for taking time to look {:O)

Way better quality than I ever expected. I love the colours, font and quality of the card. I'm so pleased I found Zazzle as it is near impossible to purchase Vintage or Retro Australian memorabilia online. I chose this design when I purchased them. They are perfect for my projects. I was very specific about what I wanted. I know where to come now when I need to order similar items.
