Red-Spotted Admiral Dark Blue Butterfly Painting Ceramic Ornament
This is the Red-Spotted Purple Admiral butterfly (Limenitis arthemis) native to eastern North America and is a brush-footed butterfly. It is called "purple" but in actuality is very dark blue with striking sky blue patterned patches on the edges of the wings, accented with small spots of orange-red. I was extremely happy to find a tree ornament for my Occupational Therapist daughter. (I bought one a few years ago for my Paramedic son) & prior to seeing this I was trying to work out how I could create something similar for her. Unfortunately my first order was deemed lost in the mail which meant it didn't arrive in time to give my daughter when she finished Uni.
