"Red Midge - Trout Fly To Do List" Poster
This image was taken from my original open edition lino print; which I printed in several colours. Many years ago, I taught myself to fly fish using books and videos. My casting was (and is) so bad that I had to teach my self to tie flies so I could afford to replace the ones I left in the trees. I'm not sure my tying and fishing skills have improved much but my love for fly fishing has certainly grown. It was only natural that I begin creating art related to the sport. The "Trout Fly To Do List" pretty much sums up my average fishing season. Those with great casting skills are missing half the fun!

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
