Red Hot Lava at Kilauea in Hawaii Volcanoes Jigsaw Puzzle
A red-orange glow is seen through a hole in the ceiling of an active lava tube in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Just a dozen or so feet below, a large river of intensely hot molten lava flows underground from the Kilauea volcano on it's way to the Pacific Ocean. The black lava that formed the ceiling of this lava tube, a type of basalt lava known as pahoehoe, created interesting rope-like patterns as it cooled just a few weeks earlier. Seen as Microsoft Bing's Image of the Day of August 1, 2022.

I was a bit disappointed to find that for the price the puzzle was only a small 252 pieces ..... but ....... it is so intricate that if it was bigger I would be frazzled by now
bought as a special Christmas jigsaw for work colleagues to play with in our breaks - it is a great way to get the team to collaborate on something fun, and to start conversations between folk, and a great positive opportunity to provide compliments on the effort put in and progress being made
the puzzle itself is beautifully made - each piece feels lovely (not a cheap cardboard puzzle) and the shapes are all similar but different
Still a work in progress after a week - it's great!!!!
a truly lovely thing ... it will come out each year - both at work and at home. great image, and fantastic finish on the pieces
