Red Fish Yokai (Wedding Scroll) Key Ring
One of my favourite yokai is this fish from the Bakemono Konrei Emaki (化物婚礼絵巻, Ghost Wedding Scroll), drawn by an unknown artist in the Edo period of Japan, sometime between the early 1600s to the mid 1800s. It is described by the International Research Centre for Japanese Studies as a sea bream riding a wooden pedestal, and what more do we need to know, really?
