USP-grade (by the United States Pharmacopeia) is a step above FDA-Food Grade and is 99% pure. Both grades of mineral oil are able to resist resist the oxidation and moisture that come into contact with your wooden cutting board. TO MAKE BEESWAX WOOD PROTECTANT: warm equal amounts of mineral oil and melted beeswax in a pan then poured into metal tins, plastic containers or jars.
