Rae Lakes Panorama from Fin Dome - John Muir Trail 6 Cm Round Badge

Panorama of Rae Lakes and Sixty lakes Basin from the top of Fin Dome. The John Muir Trail comes up the South Fork Woods Creek far left, passing Dollar lake and Arrowhead Lake, with Diamond Peak to their right, then by Lower, Middle, and Upper Rae Lakes, large and directly below at centre. Above them rises Black Mountain, and to it's right tucked up high is dragon lake just visible. Rising above and slightly right of the upper end of Upper Rae Lake is the dark stubby point of multi coloured Painted lady jutting out of the white scree slope, with massive, jagged, unevenly lumpy Mt Rixford higher just behind and slightly right. The JMT passes Lower and Middle Rae Lakes on the far side, before crossing the isthmus to the near side of Upper, then out of sight behind the ridge below Painted Lady, and winds on up and over Glen Pass, hidden directly behind the centre ridge. the JMT pass. Further right is the Sixty Lakes Basin, with massive Mt Cotter and it's sheer vertical right face dominating above right, and Mt Clarence King pointy at the farthest right.
