World Radio Day (WRD). 13 February is set aside to acknowledge radio is a powerful medium for celebrating humanity in all its diversity and constitutes a platform for democratic discourse. In its simplest form, a radio day is a day (or morning, depending on the story's size) devoted to getting your company, item, or news as much exposure on the radio as possible. Radio, as a technology, science, means of communications and system of programming audio elements or broadcasting has roots all the way back to the 1800s… so it can be safely said that the medium is already well into its second century.
