Quebrada de los Cuervos, or 'Crows' Gorge,' is a deep canyon carved by the Yerbal Chico stream. It is one of the most rugged and biodiverse areas in Uruguay, featuring a microclimate that supports lush, subtropical forests hidden within the temperate grasslands.
The gorge offers dramatic cliffs, waterfalls, and hiking trails that wind through dense vegetation. It is a haven for birdwatchers, named after the vultures (often mistaken for crows) that soar on the thermals above the canyon walls.
