Mandala of the 5 Elements: Earth - Water - Fire - Air - Space
The basis of Indian Ayurvedic Medicine was formed by the elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space. This system was later incorporated in Tibetan Medicine. Inside ourselves, these elements correspond to our chakras and are correlated to different emotions, temperaments, colours, tastes, body types, illnesses, thinking styles, and character. This mandala was used to explain the relationship between the diseases and their treatments.
The painting is a copy of my teacher Andy Weber’s ‘Mandala of the 5 Elements’ which is, in turn, a replica of a 16th century Nepalese painting.

Turned this into a lockdown activity with my partner for our anniversary. I got the 110 pieces since neither of us are big on puzzles. It's was just one of the nice little fun activities we did together. Probably took 30 minutes all up. We're gona frame it and keep it as a memory. The quality of the print was fine. Our teeth look like they stick out a bit just due to the the shape of the pieces around our teeth. But no problems.
