Alexander Pushkin, Russian author of the Romantic era, is by many considered to be the greatest Russian poet. The portrait on the front page is painted by Orest Kiprensky, a leading Russian portraitist of that time. Inside the folded card is a poem on beauty and pain: I thought you had forgotten, heart, Your ability to suffer pain. That easy gift would come, I thought, No more again! No more again! This was exactly what was wanted for my piano crazy grandson! He is self taught & is now having lessons by a top teacher and has been asked to play at various venues in the US!
