Psychedelic Purple Tablecloth

Psychedelic Purple, also known as Phlox, is halfway between electric purple and magenta. It was created in the late 1960s by mixing fluorescent magenta and fluorescent blue pigments together to make fluorescent purple to use in psychedelic black light paintings. This tone of purple was very popular among hippies. It's also the same colour as the phlox flower. The first recorded use of phlox as a colour name in English was in 1918.

I wanted a tapestry fabric to drape over a large table. Real tapestry fabric and tapestries are VERY expensive. For a 140.00 investment I achieved the look very nicely. Actually looks better in person. The tablecloth also came much earlier than I had expected. I had to blow up the pattern to fit a larger tablecloth and was concerned about the registration. It turned out quite well. Kind of pattern that adapts well.
