PROHIBITION HARLEM NIGHTLIFE MAP 1926 POSTER
From 1926, a look at vibrant Harlem nightclub scene at the height of prohibition and the roaring twenties.
The Harlem Renaissance was the name given to the cultural, social, and artistic explosion that took place in Harlem between the end of World War I and the middle of the 1930s. During this period Harlem was a cultural centre, drawing black writers, artists, musicians, photographers, poets, and scholars.
Here you can see the real Harlem night life as it was. The reefer salesman .... too many speakeasys to list, over 500 ....... all the clubs and musical personalities .... and more ......
A unique snapshot of Americana during prohibition.

Love this piece of 'history' - perfect for a commercial or home bar -- see the options/sizes! Great printing, design -- I would have ordered larger, had we had the space! Wall panel cool idea too!

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
