Hold the winning "wild" card with these whimsical, nature-themed playing cards! If someone combined the adorably big head and black eyes of a Black-Capped Chickadee with the colours and bill of a Kookaburra in a Jay-sized body, they'd have the whimsically-named Whiskeyjack. Also known by their less colourful aliases of Canada Jay and Grey Jay, we saw no fewer than six of these hardy boreal dwellers at Manning Park's Lightning Lake, where they would boldly descend on picnic tables in the hopes of free handouts. A hardy, friendly, and year round boreal resident with a range spanning every Canadian province and territory, the Grey Jay was selected to be the (as yet, unofficial) national bird of Canada in 2016.
