PRINTED RIBBON Blue Yellow 65th Birthday Invite
This beautiful aqua blue, yellow, and white vintage floral damask surprise sixty-fifth birthday party invitation has a PRINTED ribbon with a PRINTED crystal brooch on it with a grungy damask pattern background with pale yellow peony or rose type flowers on it. There is a text box on the back to add any extra text you may want, or you can remove the back image and text and have the distressed look pink and yellow floral damask as the back instead. It would be perfect for a milestone birthday party, or for a vintage or Victorian style party or event. You can remove the stylised "65th" to adapt the invitation to your own needs. ***PLEASE NOTE there are no raised elements on this invitation. Everything is printed flat. The text and paper is all customisable. It is shown here on basic paper. I would NOT use metallic gold or silver as they will discolour the invitation. The linen paper will add a texture of thin lines that you may not want, and it is a lightweight paper that will cool down the design. The felt paper is an cream colour that will affect all the white elements in the design. ***PLEASE NOTE that if you change the font or size of the font, it may alter how your invitation prints. It will print the way you see it on your monitor, so if you have alignment issues, or sizing problems, please contact me for help. I will not see your invitation once you order it, and Zazzle will NOT edit anything (typos, alignment, etc.). I customised and ordered 30 of these cards for my Mum, to be used as guest place cards on the birthday table at our local restaurant venue.
The design caught my eye while I was perusing all the samples, and thought it was a great novel idea for my steam train enthusiast Dad.
I chose the larger postcard sized one, as the font would be large for older eyes, and customised it keeping the Rail Ticket theme on the front, with venue address/date/time of party, and on the back I added another steam train and various 80 speed limit/rail signages. The trick is not to overdo it or it looks too busy. I also added at one end of the front side, a word of thanks from the birthday boy.
Champagne Shimmer was chosen for the finish and it suited the card so well, as it gave an glimmer of elegance and richness, loved it.
During the party, I had guests come up to me and say how much they liked this quirky card.
My Mum was ecstatic (she is hard to please at the best of times) and my Dad liked them very much also.
Upon leaving the party venue, I noticed that not one single card was left behind at our guest table.....so to me it spoke volumes, that the guests appreciated the cards enough to want to take them home as mementos.
I couldn't have wished for a better place card for Dad's 80th birthday party. Thanks Zazzle! Very happy with the finished product. Design turned out well, front and back.
I kept with original background and border colouring, which went extremely well with my choice of Champagne Shimmer for the finish. I kept to minimal colour pictures added on the back, they printed up very well. All crisp and clean. The cards looked a million dollars!
