I took this photo in Sintra, Portugal while visiting Pena Palace (Palácio da Pena) – A Fairy-Tale Castle in Portugal. Perched high in the Sintra mountains, Pena Palace is one of Portugal’s most iconic landmarks and a true fairy-tale castle. With its vibrant colours, whimsical architecture, and breathtaking views, this palace looks like something straight out of a dream.
Pena Palace in Sintra, Portugal, includes a section of the original mediaeval castle that once stood on the site (this photo I took shows aan original piece sticking out from building, can you spot it?)
Before the palace was built, the location was home to the Hieronymite Monastery of Our Lady of Pena, constructed in the 16th century under King Manuel I. The monastery was mostly destroyed in the 1755 Lisbon earthquake, but some of its original structures remain within the palace complex (just the photo).

Even though the product was a Holidsy Postcard, I was able to use the card by personalizing it for a Memorial Celebration of Life card for a Luncheon I had for my ex- husband. I customized and purchased this post card to send to family and friends for the holidays. I was able to insert my own photo and resize accordingly. I chose the postcard option as it was most cost efficient and only requires a .32 cent stamp (which I also purchased from Zazzle). I took advantage of the discounts available online and got a head start to the holiday season! The print came out great! Very good quality paper/cardstock and printing resolution. The image I selected worked perfectly for the format of the card and picture quality is excellent! Overall, I am extremely happy with the final product and plan to use Zazzle for future printing orders.
