This skateboard presents a scene in which the Potala Palace rises above Lhasa with its monumental white and red buildings. The Potala Palace dominates Lhasa from Marpo Ri and forms the centrepiece of a UNESCO World Heritage ensemble. For centuries it served as the winter residence of the Dalai Lamas, combining monastic, ceremonial and governmental spaces in a vast hilltop complex.
