Poster/print: The Enchanted Prince Poster
"The Enchanted Prince," was painted by the American Artist Maxfield Parrish in 1934. ~ Parrish's paintings are a combination of fantasy landscapes and fairy tales, with saturated colour and luminosity. He would apply bright layers of thin oil paint, alternating with varnish over stretched paper to get the luminous effects he was known for. He would often build depth by cutting out images and adding them to his paper, coating them with layers of glaze.

I was expecting a sharp-image, large print, not a pixelated blurry print on thin paper, that I had to trim because the image didn't even continue to the edges of the paper. If the Princess was willing to kiss the Frog, she'd have a hard time finding him. Colors were great. Image is extremely blurry and pixelated, printed on thin, not "poster" paper.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
