Créatrice de l'école de danse Tahiti Here ayant participé aux tournées mondiales du groupe de Gilles HOLLANDE comme première danseuse. Elle restera à jamais dans le cœur de ses élèves, dont le mien.

The story behind the illustration:
In tribute to the fabulous Jeanne Burns, Miss Tahiti 1971, Miss France 1972 dauphine, but especially a great dancer. Creator of the Tahiti Here dance school who participated in Gilles HOLLANDE's group tours around the world as the first dancer. She will remain forever in the hearts of her students, including mine.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
