This design features a portrait painting of Thomas Jefferson (1743–1826), who was an American statesman, diplomat, lawyer, architect, philosopher and Founding Father. Thomas Jefferson served as the third president of the United States from 1801 to 1809. He had previously served as the second vice president of the United States under John Adams between 1797 and 1801. Jefferson is also renowned as the main author of the Declaration of Independence. Thomas Jefferson was a proponent of democracy, republicanism, and individual rights, and he encouraged American colonists to break from the Kingdom of Great Britain in order to form a new nation. This portrait of Thomas Jefferson was painted by Rembrandt Peale (1778–1860), who also produced a portrait of George Washington, the first President of the United States.

Excellent product, I have been to Positano and my hotel features in the jigsaw so it was special for me. The quality is fantastic and is beautiful when finished. The one thing that could be improved would be a A4 or bigger actual picture of the jigsaw not just the tiny picture on the lid of the box, I have to use a magnifying glass. This is my third puzzle from zazzle and I am now going the send my own picture of Switzerland to be made into a puzzle. Very satisfied a little darker than appeared on the web site.
