The noble Francesco Maria della Rovere, Duke of Urbino wearing a black suit of armour looking like a knight or soldier ready for battle. About the artist: Tiziano Vecelli or Tiziano Vecellio better known as Titian was an Italian painter and a leader of 16th century Venetian school of the Italian Renaissance. He was born in Pieve di Cadore and was often called Da Cadore, taken from the place of his birth.
