'Portrait of an Old Welsh Woman' is my first oil painting from the 'Spirit of Wales' series, in which I hope to highlight and celebrate the marvellous heritage of Wales and it's very special people, my homeland, my heart! Based on the black and white photo entitled 'A woman who saw Twm o'r Nant installing a grate', photographed 1879 by John Thomas.
