Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I (1903-1907) by Gustav Klimt is a vintage Victorian Era Symbolism fine art portrait painting. Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I is also known as The Lady in Gold or the Woman in Gold. The portrait shows Adele Bloch-Bauer sitting on a golden chair in front of a golden starry background. She is wearing a jewelled choker and a tight golden dress in a triangular shape, made up of rectilinear forms. In some places the dress merges into the background so much so that she in the middle of a geometric scheme.
About the artist:
Gustav Klimt (1862-1918) was an Austrian Symbolist painter and one of the most prominent members of the Vienna Art Nouveau movement.

I bought this clock as a gift for my husband for our 50th wedding anniversary. The first one went missing in transit so Zazzle ordered a replacement which arrived quickly. It's a lovely clock and I'm sure will look beautiful on the wall when we eventually hang it on ANZAC Day. The printing is lovely.
