Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I is also known as The Lady in Gold or the Woman in Gold. The portrait shows Adele Bloch-Bauer sitting on a golden chair in front of a golden starry background. She is wearing a jewelled choker and a tight golden dress in a triangular shape, made up of rectilinear forms. In some places the dress merges into the background so much so that she in the middle of a geometric scheme. About the artist: Gustav Klimt (1862-1918) was an Austrian Symbolist painter and one of the most prominent members of the Vienna Art Nouveau movement.
